EUR took a tumble today. It looks aggressive because the market has been very quiet the past few session, so it should not be too alarming. Still EUR/USD and EUR/JPY both broke support levels. EUR/USD (EUR/USD 4H chart: click to enlarge)Today's price action broke the low from last week. It also clear broke below a couple of rising support lines. This price action forms a top.The RSI is pushing below 40, which indicates a loss of bullish momentum. The bearish price action opens up the next support pivot at 1.3560. However, it is a bit too early to call that. I would like to see more clues to the downside such as a pullback that stalls below the middle of the broken range.EUR/JPY (EUR/JPY 4H chart: click to enlarge)The EUR/JPY also broke a rising support. I am not as bearish on EUR/JPY as on EUR/USD. There is still another rising support from 2 week's ago that is intact. A break below 139.50 would break this and open up the market to test the 138.65 level. If price stabilizes around 138.50, I would still consider a buy.
